It all started with making pulp cheaper
Through 30 years of R&D, we have created an integrated, digitized and circular biocombined facility. By developing a traditional pulp mill into a biocombine and then being able to combine this with steel or aluminum smelters, we can produce fossil-free steel and aluminum while also producing pulp, bio-alcohols and proteins. This is a ground-breaking innovation that sets a new industry standard as we have lower production costs than today’s traditional processes and also produce lower emissions to air and water.

We are excited to announce our focus on building Biokombinat, an innovative platform that will integrate the forestry sector with metal production. This unique initiative aims to transform both industries by optimizing forest resource utilization while significantly reducing environmental impact.
